The GBV Shelter facility provide GBV survivors with medical, legal and psychosocial support services including temporary accommodation to reduce stigma, protect survivors from further harm as they access justice, medical treatment and coping with the healing process.
The GBV Shelter component is supported by Irish Aid under the Joint Programme to address Gender Based Violence in Busoga Region. This approach is aimed enhancing GBV service delivery. It has been designed to provide a holistic approach to addressing the prevalence of GBV in the Busoga Region. This component on service delivery will tap into the opportunities of the already on going Joint Programme activities.
