A Civil Society Gender Issues Paper Towards the Second National Development Plan II 2014

Executive Summary

The Government of the Republic of Uganda (GOU) has a National Vision of a Transformed Ugandan Society from a Peasant to a Modern and Prosperous Country within 30 years.

This Vision is to be implemented through Six 5–year National Development Plans (NDP). Since 2010, Uganda has been implementing the First National Development Plan (2010/11–2014/15) under the theme Growth, Employment and Socio–Economic Transformation for Prosperity.
