As 2016 approaches, Ugandans are once again gearing up for another general election. Elections themselves are a highly political process and women, by placing their demands to those that wish to stand for elective offices, are declaring that the Women’s Manifesto is first and foremost a political document.
As a political document, the Women’s Manifesto sets out the concerns of women in Uganda and the demands for accountability by political parties and candidates
